A review of methods for power system security assessment

In this paper, the methods of decentralized power system security assessment is presented with an accurate and approximate method. A brief history of load and generation forecasting methods, economic-fuzzy load flow, probabilistic load flow and transient and voltage stability assessment are presented. These methods are categorized and prioritized. In the end, power system security assessment is calculated with a real system and the accuracy and speed of the methods are compared.
