An overview of the Development Process of Smart Phones Communication with Next Generation Satellite Networks

| Due to the high penetration of mobile phone, especially smart phones, providing direct connection service of smartphones with satellite will create new opportunities to increase global connectivity. With further advancements in technology, the wireless communications industry is expected to evolve. Due to the increase in the demand for communication services, especially in underprivileged areas or without using the terrestrial communication network, the development of satellite services in low earth orbit (LEO) is the solution to meet this need. LEO satellites due to having less delay, are compatible with the technical requirements of new generations of telecommunication networks. The cheapening of designing, manufacturing and launching satellite has made satellite communications cost-effective and competitive in terms of service requirements. Of course, in providing this type of service, there are various challenges, such as the limitation of using the frequency spectrum, as well as the limitation of the link budget, such as transmission power, etc. Today, big companies such as AST Space mobie, Lynk and SpaceX are competing with each other to communicate directly with smartphones. In this article, the actions taken and the activities of leading companies have been presented. |
