Abstract: (121 Views) |
Quadrature delta-sigma modulators with equivalent power consumption and hardware in comparison with real delta-sigma, have a larger bandwidth and have become popular for use in Low IF receivers. In this type of receivers, the output of the complex mixer is directly converted to digital by a quadrature modulator. Using a quadrature modulator instead of two real modulators increases the efficiency of the receiver and reduces power consumption in this structure. In this article, the structure of the quadrature delta-sigma modulator is investigated and its difference with the real low-pass and band-pass delta-sigma modulators is described. For Sample, a two order real time discrete modulator has been designed and converted into a quadrature modulator.
