Functional Analysis and Optimization of an Ultrasonic Homogenizer for Fower Enhancement

Ultrasonic homogenizer devices are used to homogenize solutions. The basic functionality of these devices is the conversion of an electric current into a mechanical vibration current and the formation of intense pressure waves in liquid media. Under proper conditions, the pressure waves in the fluid create flow and cause rapid formation of micro bubbles. The growth and consolidation of these bubbles create intense heat and cause the cavitation phenomenon until they reach the maximum size and ultimately burst. The repetition of cavitation leads to homogenize the solution with this device. This device may be utilized in many industries such as pharmacy and food and is available in the market with a variety of power delivery. In this paper, an optimal design and implementation of an ultrasonic homogenizer system has been proposed, in which, while increasing the power, the implementation solutions for increasing the resistance of the device to the thermal effects of increased power are introduced. Upgrading the power to 600 watts is the most important feature of the designed device, which has been improved dramatically in accordance to other devices.
